The LRS-100N2 series is MEAN WELL's next-generation 100W single-output enclosed industrial power supply. Compared to its predecessor, the N2 version delivers significant improvements in efficiency, peak power handling, and long-term reliability—making it an ideal choice for space-constrained industrial applications with demanding thermal requirements.
The LRS-100N2 accepts 85~264VAC universal AC input, covering all major global voltage standards, and also supports 120~373VDC input for DC-powered installations. The series is available in four output voltages—12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V—addressing the most common voltage requirements across industrial automation.
With a profile of just 30mm (1U height) and overall dimensions of 129×97×30mm, the LRS-100N2 fits easily into compact control cabinets and equipment enclosures. The perforated metal case design enables convection-cooled, fanless operation across an ambient temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, making it well suited for outdoor installations and harsh industrial environments where fan reliability is a concern.
The defining advantage of the LRS-100N2 is its 200% peak power output capability. When starting motors, solenoids, relays, or other inductive/capacitive loads, the unit can deliver double its rated wattage momentarily, preventing nuisance system resets caused by inrush current. This feature is especially valuable in CNC machining, packaging machinery, conveyor systems, and any application involving frequent start/stop cycles.
On the compliance side, the LRS-100N2 holds TUV BS EN/EN62368-1, UL62368-1, BS EN/EN61558-1/-2-16, GB4943.1 (CQC), and BSMI CNS15598-1 certifications, and is rated for operation at altitudes up to 4,000 meters. EMC performance meets EN55032 Class B radiated emissions and the EN61000-4 series immunity standards, making it suitable for deployment in heavy-industrial electromagnetic environments.

The N2 version improves on efficiency (up to 90.5% vs ~88%), peak power capability (200% vs 150%), and input surge immunity (300VAC/5s vs 300VAC/instant). It also adds OVC III overvoltage category certification, making it better suited for high-altitude installations and unstable grid conditions.
The peak power pulse width t ≤ 5 seconds, with a duty cycle ≤ 35% (at 200~264VAC input). The average output power must not exceed the 100W rated power. Refer to the peak power formula in the user manual for detailed calculations.
The LRS-100N2 operates reliably from -30°C to +70°C, withstands 5G vibration, and is certified to 4,000m altitude. However, it does not carry an IP rating for water ingress—it must be installed inside a weatherproof enclosure when used outdoors.
The 48V model is not currently covered under the BIS (IS 13252) certification. The 12V, 24V, and 36V models are BIS-certified and should be selected for shipments to India.
