The MEAN WELL XLG-320-DA2 series is a 320W-class AC-to-DC constant-power LED driver family with DALI-2 digital dimming, IP67 protection, and Type HL certification for Class I, Division 2 hazardous location lighting. It is designed for LED street lighting, flood lighting, stage lighting, fishing lighting, horticultural lighting, bay lighting, and industrial lighting.
It accepts universal 100~305VAC input (142~431VDC) and delivers full output power across the 70%~100% constant-power range. Three output types are available: L-Type with default current 1400mA and CC region 150~300V, M-Type with default current 2800mA and CC region 74~148V, and H-Type with default current 5600mA and CC region 30~56V. Rated output power is 315W (L) / 310.8W (M) / 312W (H). Output current can be adjusted via an internal potentiometer (500~1400mA for L-Type, 1050~2800mA for M-Type, 2800~7420mA for H-Type). With peak efficiency up to 94.5%, the driver uses a fanless design and operates at case temperatures from -40C to +85C under free air convection.
The metal enclosure carries an IP67 rating for both indoor and outdoor use. All DA2 versions support IEC 62386 DALI-2 DT6 digital dimming down to approximately 8% minimum brightness, with isolated dimming circuitry. A DA2-A option adds a galvanically isolated 12V/250mA auxiliary output to power a DALI controller, sensor or communication module. India versions (XLG-320I-*-DA2) add input over-voltage protection at 320~390VAC and comply with IS 15885. Standby power consumption of the standard DA2 versions is below 0.5W with dimming off.
Protection includes short-circuit (hiccup or constant current limiting, auto-recovery) and over-temperature (de-rate to 75% then 50%, auto-recovery). Input over-voltage protection (320~390VAC, auto-recovery; withstands 440VAC for 48h) is available on I-Type only. The driver complies with global lighting safety and EMC standards including UL8750 Type HL, CSA, ENEC (with emergency-lighting EL appendix J, DC input 176~280Vdc), AS/NZS, BS EN/EN, GB/T, EAC, and IS 15885 (I-Type only), and is backed by a 5-year warranty. Note: a switch must be installed between the mains and the LED driver to meet the latest ErP regulations.

L-Type is for high-voltage LED strings (default 1400mA, CC region 150~300V), M-Type for mid-voltage loads (default 2800mA, CC region 74~148V), and H-Type for low-voltage high-current loads (default 5600mA, CC region 30~56V). Rated power is 315W (L), 310.8W (M) and 312W (H). All three support DALI-2 DT6 dimming.
Yes, all DA2 versions comply with IEC 62386-101, 102, 207, 251 and support Device Type 6 (DT6) DALI-2 digital dimming. The dimming circuit is isolated from the output. Minimum dimming level is approximately 8%.
DA2-A is a custom option that adds an isolated 12V/250mA auxiliary output (accuracy ±10%, ripple 200mVp-p) to power a DALI controller, sensor or communication module. When the aux output carries its full 3W load, whole-unit efficiency drops by about 1%.
Standard L/M/H-DA2 are global versions. XLG-320I-*-DA2 are India-market versions (EESL) that add input over-voltage protection (320~390VAC), withstand 440VAC for 48 hours, and carry IS 15885 certification. I-Type versions have no UL/CSA marks.
XLG-320-DA2 is a constant-power LED driver that operates in constant-current mode within the stated CC region; it is not a constant-voltage supply. Type HL means the driver is UL8750 listed for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous location lighting fixtures when installed per manufacturer instructions (consider built-in installation).
