The LRS-600N2 series is MEAN WELL's 600W single-output enclosed industrial power supply with 200% peak power capability - the highest-wattage model in the LRS N2 family. Featuring a 41mm low-profile design, switchable 115/230VAC input, and built-in DC fan with intelligent on/off control, it delivers exceptional power density in a 225x124x41mm form factor - the ultimate choice for large-scale motor-driven loads and industrial automation systems demanding sustained high output.
The LRS-600N2 uses a switchable 90~132VAC / 180~264VAC input (selected via built-in switch), and also supports 255~370VDC input. Available in four output voltages - 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V - it delivers up to 50A at 12V and 12.5A at 48V, covering the most demanding high-power industrial requirements.
Measuring 225x124x41mm, the LRS-600N2 is larger than its 30mm siblings but achieves an exceptional up to 92% efficiency - the highest conversion efficiency in the entire LRS N2 lineup, outperforming LRS-350N2 (89%) and LRS-200N2 (90%). The built-in DC fan with intelligent thermal control (activates at 50C, turns off below 40C) enables full-load operation from -20C to +65C ambient, making it suitable for high-temperature control cabinets and heavy industrial environments.
The defining advantage is the 200% peak power output (up to 1,200W). When starting large motors, hydraulic pumps, compressors, or heavy inductive/capacitive loads, the unit delivers double its rated wattage momentarily - essential for large CNC machining centers, industrial compressors, pumping stations, automated production lines, and any application where 350W-class supplies are simply insufficient.
The LRS-600N2 holds BS IEC/UL62368-1, BS EN/EN61558-1/-2-16, GB4943.1 (CQC), and BSMI CNS15598-1 certifications, with design reference to AS/NZS 61558.1/2.16 and AS/NZS 62368.1. Note: This model is not compliant with EN61000-3-2 harmonic current requirements for certain EU applications. The overvoltage protection requires approximately 4 minutes cooldown after tripping before restart.

The LRS-600N2 delivers 600W vs 350W - a 71% power increase. Key differences: (1) larger dimensions (225x124x41mm vs 215x115x30mm); (2) better efficiency (up to 92% vs 89%); (3) dramatically higher currents (50A vs 29A at 12V); (4) narrower max temp (65C vs 70C); (5) DC input range starts at 255VDC vs 240VDC; (6) OVP requires ~4 min cooldown before restart after tripping. Choose the LRS-600N2 when you need more than 350W and want the best efficiency in the N2 family.
The LRS-600N2 has a unique OVP behavior: once triggered, you must disconnect input power and wait approximately 4 minutes for the unit to cool down before it can be restarted. This differs from other LRS N2 models which auto-recover immediately. Plan your system accordingly - this model is NOT suitable for applications where instant recovery from an overvoltage event is critical.
The LRS-600N2 is not compliant with EN61000-3-2 harmonic current limits. It should NOT be used in end equipment meeting ALL of these conditions: (a) used within the EU, (b) connected to 220VAC+ public mains, (c) installed in equipment with average input power >75W, and (d) part of a lighting system. Professional equipment rated >1,000W and symmetrically controlled heating elements <=200W are exempt. For EU applications, consider an EN61000-3-2 compliant alternative.
The 48V model is not currently covered under the BIS (IS 13252) certification. The 12V, 24V, and 36V models are BIS-certified and should be selected for shipments to India.
The LRS-600N2 uses a built-in selector switch to choose between 115VAC (90~132VAC) and 230VAC (180~264VAC) input ranges. Always verify the switch position matches your local mains voltage before powering on. Incorrect setting may cause damage. For DC input (255~370VDC), set the switch to the 230VAC position.
