Product Overview

The MEAN WELL ELG-150-C series is a 150W constant-current (CC) AC-to-DC LED driver family. Designed specifically for direct LED string driving, it offers fixed output current with a wide, automatically-adjusting output voltage range up to 315V.

It accepts universal 100~305VAC input (142~431VDC continuous, 320VDC for 24 hours, 360VDC for 1 hour) and provides six rated current options: 500mA, 700mA, 1050mA, 1400mA, 1750mA, and 2100mA. With peak efficiency up to 92%, the driver uses a fanless design and operates at case temperatures from -40C to +90C under natural convection.

The sealed metal enclosure carries IP67 or IP65 ratings depending on the version and is certified to UL8750 Type HL for Class I Division 2 hazardous location luminaires. Five function versions are available: Blank (fixed output, IP67), A (internal potentiometer adjustment, IP65), B (3-in-1 dimming, IP67), AB (pot adjustment + 3-in-1 dimming, IP65), and DA (DALI interface, IP67).

Protection includes OVP, OTP, short-circuit hiccup, and +/-5.0% current accuracy. The driver withstands 6KV line-to-ground and 4KV line-to-line surge, complies with global lighting safety and EMC standards, and is backed by a 5-year warranty.

What is the difference between ELG-150 and ELG-150-C?

ELG-150 is a CC+CV dual-mode driver with fixed output voltage options (12V/24V/36V/42V/48V/54V). ELG-150-C is a constant-current-only driver designed to drive LED strings directly, with the output voltage automatically adjusting within the specified CC range to match the LED load.

Why does the power drop at 100~180VAC?

ELG-150-C delivers full rated power at 200~305VAC but derates to 105W at 100~180VAC. The lower input voltage limits the PFC boost stage, so full power is only available on 208V, 230V, or 277V grids. For 120V North American or 100V Japanese installations, size your LED load for 105W.

Which version type should I choose?

Blank for simple fixed-output outdoor luminaires. A-Type for indoor fixtures needing current tuning via internal pot. B-Type for outdoor smart lighting with 0-10V/PWM/resistor dimming. AB-Type for maximum flexibility with both tuning and dimming. DA-Type for DALI building management integration. Note: A and AB are IP65 and require internal use for Type HL.
