The MEAN WELL ELG-240-C series is a 240W constant-current (CC) AC-to-DC LED driver family. Unlike the standard ELG-240 voltage-output models, the ELG-240-C is designed specifically for direct LED string driving with fixed current and a wide, automatically-adjusting output voltage range.
It accepts universal 100~305VAC input (142~431VDC) and provides five rated current options: 700mA, 1050mA, 1400mA, 1750mA, and 2100mA. With peak efficiency up to 93%, the driver uses a fanless design and operates at case temperatures from -40C to +85C under natural convection.
The sealed metal enclosure carries IP67 or IP65 ratings depending on the version and is certified to UL8750 Type HL for hazardous location luminaires. Five function versions are available: Blank (fixed output, IP67), A (internal potentiometer adjustment, IP65), B (3-in-1 dimming, IP67), AB (pot adjustment + 3-in-1 dimming, IP65), and DA (DALI interface, IP67).
Protection includes OVP, OTP, short-circuit hiccup, and over-current limiting. The driver withstands 6KV line-to-ground and 4KV line-to-line surge, complies with global lighting safety and EMC standards, and is backed by a 5-year warranty.

ELG-240 is a CC+CV dual-mode driver with fixed output voltage options (12V/24V/36V/42V/48V/54V). ELG-240-C is a constant-current-only driver designed to drive LED strings directly, with the output voltage automatically adjusting within the specified CC range to match the LED load.
ELG-240-C delivers full rated power at 200~305VAC but derates to approximately 180W at 100~180VAC. The lower input voltage limits the PFC boost stage, so full power is only available on 208V, 230V, or 277V grids. For 120V North American or 100V Japanese installations, size your LED load for the reduced power.
Blank for simple fixed-output outdoor luminaires. A-Type for indoor fixtures needing current tuning via internal pot. B-Type for outdoor smart lighting with 0-10V/PWM/resistor dimming. AB-Type for maximum flexibility with both tuning and dimming. DA-Type for DALI building management integration. Note: A and AB are IP65 and require internal use for Type HL.
BIS IS15885 is available on ELG-240-C700 (A version) and ELG-240-C1050 (A version) only. Confirm the exact model suffix carries BIS before ordering for India-bound luminaires.
