Product Overview

The MEAN WELL ELGC-300 series is a 300W AC-to-DC constant-power LED driver family. It delivers full 300W across 65%~100% of maximum current, then transitions to constant-current mode at lower loads, making it ideal for high-power LED applications such as high-bay, flood, stage, fishing, and horticultural lighting.

It accepts universal 100~305VAC input (142~431VDC) and provides three current-voltage ranges: L-Type 1400mA (116~232V), M-Type 2800mA (58~116V), and H-Type 5600mA (29~58V). With peak efficiency up to 94.5%, the driver uses a fanless design and operates at case temperatures from -40C to +85C under natural convection.

The sealed metal enclosure carries an IP67 rating and is certified to UL8750 Type HL for hazardous location luminaires. Four function versions are available: Blank (fixed output), A (internal potentiometer adjustment), AB (pot adjustment + 3-in-1 dimming), and ADA (DALI-2 digital control).

Protection includes OVP, OTP power derating, short-circuit current limiting, and over-current protection. The driver withstands 6KV line-to-ground and 4KV line-to-line surge, complies with global lighting safety and EMC standards, and is backed by a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between ELGC-300 and ELG-200/240-C?

ELGC-300 is a 300W constant-power LED driver with three current-voltage ranges (L/M/H) and all-IP67 sealing. ELG-200/240-C are constant-current drivers with fixed current ratings per model. ELGC-300 targets higher-power LED high-bay, flood, stage, fishing, and horticultural lighting.

Why does the power drop at 100~180VAC?

ELGC-300 delivers full 301W at 200~305VAC but derates to 256W at 100~180VAC. The lower input voltage limits the PFC boost stage, so full power is only available on 208V, 230V, or 277V grids. For 120V North American or 100V Japanese installations, size your LED load for 256W.

Which version type should I choose?

Blank for simple fixed-output outdoor luminaires. A-Type for fixtures needing current tuning via internal pot. AB-Type for maximum flexibility with both tuning and 3-in-1 dimming. ADA-Type for DALI-2 building management integration. All versions are IP67.

Can ELGC-300 be used for horticultural or stage lighting?
