The MEAN WELL XLG-150 series is a 150W AC-to-DC constant-power LED driver family with IP67 protection, Class P certification, and Type HL listing for Class I, Division 2 hazardous location lighting (except L-Type). It is designed for LED street lighting, architectural lighting, bay lighting, flood lighting, grow lighting, fishing lighting, and industrial lighting.
It accepts universal 100~305VAC input (142~431VDC) and provides multiple output options: 12V CV+CC (12.5A / 150W), 24V CV+CC (6.25A / 150W), L-Type CC (700mA / 120~214V / 150W), and H-Type CC (2800mA / 27~56V / 150W). The L-Type achieves peak efficiency up to 93%, while the 12V/24V and H-Type reach 92% and 91% respectively. The driver uses a fanless design and operates at case temperatures from -40C to +90C under free air convection.
The metal enclosure carries an IP67 rating for both indoor and outdoor use. Multiple function versions are available: Blank (fixed output, suitable for harsh environments), A (current/voltage adjustable via internal potentiometer), AB (current adjustable + 3-in-1 dimming, available for L/H-Type only), and CV (12V/24V fixed constant-voltage, CE/ENEC/CB only). The AB-Type dimming circuit is galvanically isolated from the output and supports 0~10Vdc / 10V PWM / resistor dimming down to approximately 0%. An India version (XLG-150I) adds input over-voltage protection at 320~390VAC and IS 15885 certification.
Protection includes over-current (CV models 95~108% / 110~160%; CC models 105~150%), short-circuit (hiccup mode or constant current limiting), over-voltage (12V/24V/L/H models), and over-temperature (shut off, re-power on), all with automatic recovery after fault removal. The driver complies with global lighting safety and EMC standards including UL8750 Type HL, UL879, CSA, ENEC, BS EN/EN, GB/T, JIS, EAC, KC, NOM, and IS 15885 (I-Type only), and is backed by a 5-year warranty. Note: a switch must be installed between the mains and the LED driver to meet the latest ErP regulations.

XLG-150 provides four output types: 12V CV+CC (12.5A / 150W), 24V CV+CC (6.25A / 150W), L-Type CC (700mA / 120~214V / 150W), and H-Type CC (2800mA / 27~56V / 150W). The L and H-Type are constant-current LED drivers; the 12V and 24V models work in both constant-voltage and constant-current regions.
Blank has a fixed output and is recommended for harsh environments. A-Type adds output current adjustment via an internal potentiometer. AB-Type adds 3-in-1 dimming (0~10Vdc / 10V PWM / resistor) on top of A-Type features, but is only available for L/H-Type. CV-Type provides fixed 12V or 24V constant-voltage output and is CE/ENEC/CB only.
XLG-150I variants add input over-voltage protection at 320~390VAC and comply with IS 15885. They can withstand 440VAC stress for up to 48 hours. I-Type has no UL/CSA certification and is available with minimum order quantity; contact MEAN WELL for details.
AB-Type supports 3-in-1 dimming: 0~10Vdc analog voltage, 10V PWM signal (100Hz~3kHz), or an external resistor. The DIM- port is isolated from Vo- and must not be connected to Vo-. Output current can be dimmed down to approximately 0%.
Class P means the LED driver is UL recognized as a Class P thermal-protected device, allowing it to be used in luminaires without additional thermal testing. Type HL means the driver is UL8750 listed for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous location lighting fixtures when installed per manufacturer instructions.
