Product Overview

The MEAN WELL XLG-240-48-ABV is a 240W AC-to-DC constant-voltage LED driver with IP67 protection, Class P certification, and Type HL listing for Class I, Division 2 hazardous location lighting. It is purpose-built for LED strip lighting, architectural lighting, bay lighting, flood lighting, grow lighting, fishing lighting, and industrial 48V LED systems.

It accepts universal 110~305VAC input (156~431VDC) and provides a 48V constant-voltage output with a default voltage of 48V, adjustable from 43.2 ~ 52.8V, rated current of 5A, and rated power of 240W. The ABV-Type provides flicker-free 3-in-1 constant-voltage dimming down to 0V. With peak efficiency up to 91%, the driver uses a fanless design and operates at case temperatures from -20C to +90C under free air convection.

The metal enclosure carries an IP67 rating for both indoor and outdoor use. The ABV-Type provides voltage adjustment from 43.2~52.8V and flicker-free 3-in-1 constant-voltage dimming via 0~10Vdc / 10V PWM / resistor control. India versions (I-ABV) add input over-voltage protection at 320~390VAC and comply with IS 15885. The dimming circuit is galvanically isolated from the output.

Protection includes overload (105~135%, hiccup), short-circuit (hiccup or constant current limiting), over-voltage (54 ~ 60V), and over-temperature (shut off, re-power on), all with automatic recovery after fault removal. The driver complies with global lighting safety and EMC standards including UL8750 Type HL, CSA, ENEC, BS EN/EN, GB/T, EAC, and IS 15885 (I-Type only), and is backed by a 5-year warranty. Note: a switch must be installed between the mains and the LED driver to meet the latest ErP regulations.
