The SE-600 series is MEAN WELL's 600W single-output enclosed switching power supply, offering 7 output voltage options from 5V to 48V including a unique 27V model. With 100A capability at 5V and an impressive 4.9W/in3 power density, it is the highest-power model in the SE family - designed for demanding industrial, test equipment, and automation applications requiring robust enclosed power delivery.

The SE-600 uses a switchable 90~132VAC / 180~264VAC input (selected via built-in switch) and supports 254~370VDC input. Built around a 68KHz switching design with built-in DC fan cooling, active inrush current limiting, and remote sense via CN4 connector, it delivers reliable 600W output across a -20C to +60C temperature range. The series stands out with its broader certification portfolio including CB, UL (60950-1 + 62368-1), KC (12V/24V), and EAC.

Measuring 247x127x63.5mm, the SE-600 is the largest enclosed supply in the SE family. The SE-600-27 (22.2A / 599.4W) is a rarely available voltage in enclosed power supplies - commonly required by specialized industrial controllers, certain military/aerospace ground equipment, and legacy machinery. It provides 24~30V adjustable range, bridging the gap between standard 24V and 36V rails. If you're replacing a failing 27V supply, the SE-600-27 is often the only enclosed drop-in solution available.

Can the SE-600 be used in EU countries?

The SE-600 is not compliant with BS EN/EN61000-3-2 harmonic current limits. It should NOT be used in end equipment meeting ALL of these conditions: (a) used within the EU, (b) connected to 220VAC+ public mains, (c) installed in equipment with average input power >75W, and (d) part of a lighting system. Professional equipment rated >1,000W and symmetrically controlled heating elements <=200W are exempt.

Is the 48V model BIS-certified for India?

The 48V model is not currently covered under the BIS (IS 13252) certification. All other models (5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 27V, 36V) are BIS-certified and should be selected for shipments to India.

How do I recover after protection trips?

The SE-600 requires a power cycle (turn off AC, wait, turn on) to recover from overload, overvoltage, and short-circuit protection events. Only over-temperature protection (85C TSW1) auto-recovers. Plan your system design accordingly.
