Product Overview

The NDR-75 series is MEAN WELL's 75W ultra-slim DIN rail power supply - the entry-level model in the NDR DIN rail family. With an extremely narrow 32mm width, metal housing for superior heat dissipation, and UL508 Industrial Control Equipment listing, it is purpose-built for space-constrained control cabinets in factory automation, semiconductor equipment, and industrial machinery.

Designed for TS-35/7.5 and TS-35/15 DIN rail mounting, the NDR-75 delivers 75W output from 90~264VAC universal input with natural convection cooling (fanless). The unit is fully EN61000-3-2 harmonic current compliant for EU use and features constant current overload protection - ideal for driving inductive and capacitive loads typical in industrial environments.

Measuring just 32x125.2x102mm, the NDR-75 is one of the slimmest 75W DIN rail supplies available. The metal housing efficiently dissipates heat, enabling fanless operation from -20C to +70C. Three standard output voltages are offered: 12V, 24V, and 48V. The 48V model includes a DC OK LED indicator for at-a-glance output status verification.

UL508, TUV BS EN/EN62368-1, EAC TP TC 004 certified. Class B EMC with BS EN/EN61000-6-2 heavy industrial immunity. 60ms hold-up time at 230V (12ms at 115V) - exceptionally long for a 75W supply. <1mA leakage current. 3-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the NDR-75 differ from an enclosed power supply like LRS-75?

The NDR-75 is purpose-built for DIN rail mounting (TS-35/7.5 or 15) vs LRS-75's enclosed/L-bracket mount. Key differences: (1) 32mm ultra-slim width for dense control panels; (2) UL508 Industrial Control Equipment listing required by North American panel builders; (3) 60ms hold-up vs LRS-75's 16ms; (4) EN61000-6-2 heavy industrial immunity vs light industrial on LRS; (5) <1mA leakage vs 2mA on LRS-75; (6) metal housing for heat dissipation vs perforated L-bracket; (7) terminal block connections vs screw terminals. Choose NDR-75 for DIN rail installations and UL508 compliance; choose LRS-75 for general enclosed applications.

What DIN rail types does the NDR-75 support?

The NDR-75 mounts on standard TS-35/7.5 and TS-35/15 DIN rails (35mm width, 7.5mm or 15mm height). These are the most common DIN rail profiles used worldwide. The unit snaps on and off without tools for easy installation and maintenance.

What is the recommended spacing for installation?

When permanently loaded at full power, MEAN WELL recommends: 40mm top clearance, 20mm bottom clearance, 5mm left/right clearance. If adjacent devices are heat sources, increase side spacing to 15mm. These clearances ensure adequate natural convection airflow for the fanless design.

Is the NDR-75 suitable for capacitive or inductive loads?

Yes. The constant current overload mode automatically limits current when driving capacitive (high inrush) or inductive (motor) loads, preventing nuisance tripping. Once the load stabilizes, the unit returns to normal voltage regulation. This makes it ideal for industrial relays, solenoids, contactors, and motor starts.

Why does the 48V model have a DC OK LED?

The 48V NDR-75-48 includes a DC OK LED indicator (green) on the front panel. This provides immediate visual confirmation that the output is active - useful in crowded control cabinets where measuring voltage at terminals is inconvenient. The 12V and 24V models do not have this feature.
