The RSP-75 series is MEAN WELL's premium 75W enclosed power supply with built-in active PFC - a key differentiator from the LRS and SE families. With universal 85~264VAC input (no switch needed), 9 voltage options from 3.3V to 48V, fanless convection cooling, and Class B EMC compliance, the RSP-75 is designed for applications where power quality, global regulatory compliance, and reliability are paramount.

The RSP-75 features active PFC achieving PF>0.98 at 115VAC and PF>0.93 at 230VAC, making it EN61000-3-2 harmonic current compliant - unlike LRS N2 and SE series which carry EN61000-3-2 restrictions. This means the RSP-75 can be legally used in EU residential and commercial equipment without needing exemption qualifications.

Measuring 159x97x30mm with convection cooling (no fan), the RSP-75 operates from -25C to +70C. It holds the most comprehensive certification portfolio: UL, TUV, CCC (China), BSMI (Taiwan), EAC (Eurasia), BIS (India, except 48V), and AS/NZS (Australia/New Zealand). I/P-O/P withstand is 4KVAC - higher than SE/LRS series.

How does the constant current overload protection work?

Unlike SE series which latch off and require a power cycle, the RSP-75 uses constant current limiting: when the load exceeds 105~135% of rated power, the output current is clamped to a safe level while voltage drops. Once the overload condition is removed, the output automatically recovers to normal regulation - no manual intervention needed. This is ideal for motor startup and capacitive loads where momentary overload is expected.
