The HDR-30 series is a 30W Class II plastic DIN rail supply with a unique feature: 24V and 48V models are boosted to 36W — delivering 20% more power than the series name suggests. At 35mm (2SU), it doubles the width of HDR-15 while providing a substantial power increase to 30W nominal (36W boosted) across 5 voltage options.

The HDR-30 accepts 85~264Vac input (277Vac also usable) with 0.88A/115V, 0.48A/230V AC current. Five voltages - 5V (3A/15W), 12V (2A/24W), 15V (2A/30W), 24V (1.5A/36W boosted), and 48V (0.75A/36W boosted). Efficiency reaches 90% at 48V. The OVP uses shutdown+restart mode (vs zener clamp on HDR-15) for higher-power protection, and the overload range extends to 160% (vs 145% on HDR-15).

The start-up time of 500ms is significantly faster than HDR-15's 2000ms. The same Class II plastic housing, LPS certification, <0.3W standby, 4KVac I/P-O/P, 30ms hold-up, and global certifications (UL508/62368-1, TUV, EAC, BSMI, BIS except 48V) make the HDR-30 a powerful step up for building automation and industrial control where more current is needed per DIN rail slot. At 35mm and 0.13kg, it delivers the highest power density in the Class II plastic DIN rail segment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are 24V and 48V rated at 36W instead of 30W?

The HDR-30 uses a platform that can deliver up to 36W at higher output voltages. The 24V (1.5A) and 48V (0.75A) models take advantage of this headroom. The "30W" in the series name refers to the 15V model's rated power — the other voltages have different power ratings based on their current capability. This means you get more usable power at 24V and 48V than expected.

How does HDR-30 differ from HDR-15?
