The SDR-240 series is a powerhouse 240W DIN rail supply with Active PFC (PF>0.99@115Vac), 94% unified efficiency, and 150% peak power (360W for 3s). Available in 24V and 48V only, it features auto-recovery overload and overvoltage protection — no manual restart needed — plus a built-in DC OK relay for PLC/SCADA monitoring.

The SDR-240 accepts 88~264Vac universal input (124~370Vdc). The 10A at 24V variant powers entire PLC racks and multiple HMI panels; the 5A at 48V variant serves PoE networks and telecom DC distribution. Both deliver full 240W with 94% efficiency — a significant jump from the 89~91% range of the SDR-120. The PFC stage holds 20ms at both 115V and 230Vac with an exceptional PF>0.99 at 115V.

A key upgrade over SDR-120: overload auto-recovery. At 110~150% overload, the output shuts down after 3 seconds but automatically recovers without manual intervention. At >150%, constant current limiting holds for 2 seconds before possible shutdown — also with auto-recovery. Similarly, OVP uses auto-recovery shutdown instead of latch-off. The 6-pin output terminal (dual +V and dual -V) supports higher-current wiring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why only 24V and 48V models?

The SDR-240 does not offer a 12V variant. At 240W, 12V would require 20A output, and the platform is optimized for 24V and 48V industrial standards. For 12V at this power level, consider the XDR series.

Do protections really auto-recover on SDR-240?

Yes — this is a key upgrade over SDR-120. Overload shutdown auto-recovers, and OVP also auto-recovers. Only over-temperature requires cooling before recovery (automatic). This is critical for remote/unattended installations where manual restarts are impractical.

How does SDR-240 compare to SDR-120?
