Product Overview

The SDR-960 series is the largest and most powerful SDR model ever — a 960W near-kilowatt DIN rail supply with parallel capability up to 3840W (3+1), 130% peak power (1248W/3s), and a dedicated 4-pin CN205 control connector for P+/P- current sharing and DC OK relay. Built for 230Vac-only high-power industrial environments, it delivers 40A at 24V and 20A at 48V with 94% efficiency and CC limiting.

This is a completely different platform from SDR-480: 180~264Vac only (no 115V support), a larger 110mm chassis, 6-pin triple output terminals for 40A distribution, and a separate 4-pin control connector for parallel and monitoring. The parallel configuration supports up to 4 units for 3840W with 0.2V max voltage difference and >5% minimum load. Overload auto-recovery is unique: after a 105~130% peak exceeding 3 seconds, the unit shuts down and automatically recovers within 30 seconds of peak removal.

Certifications include UL508, TUV, BSMI, AS/NZS, EAC, and KC (Korean). EMC is Class B conducted but Class A radiated — suitable for industrial environments but verify for residential use. With -30C minimum temperature, the SDR-960 operates in the coldest environments in the SDR family. At 110x125.2x150mm and 2.47kg, it is built for maximum power delivery in demanding industrial and infrastructure applications.

⚠ Can SDR-960 work on 115Vac?

No. The SDR-960 input range is 180~264Vac only. For 115V/230V universal at similar power, consider SDR-480P (480W, parallel to 3840W with 8 units) or XDR-480E with parallel capability.

How does the 30-second auto-recovery overload work?

Unique to SDR-960: after a 105~130% overload exceeding 3 seconds, the output shuts down — but automatically recovers within 30 seconds once the peak load is removed. No manual restart, no waiting for temperature to drop. This is ideal for production lines with intermittent peak loads where immediate restart after overload is critical.

What is the CN205 connector and how is parallel wired?

The CN205 is a 4-pin control connector (DINKLE ECH250R-04P) separate from the main power terminals. Pin 1: P- (current share), Pin 2: P+ (current share), Pins 3-4: DC OK relay. For parallel, connect P- of all units together and P+ of all units together using twisted pair wire (28~20 AWG). This separates low-voltage control signals from the heavy 40A output wiring.

Why is radiated EMC Class A instead of Class B?
