40mm Slim | 85-264Vac Input | Active PFC (PF>0.98) | Up to 95.5% Efficiency | DC OK Relay | OVC III | IEC61010 | Class B EMC | -40~70C | 3-Year Warranty
The XDR-240E series is the first economy XDR-E model to integrate Active PFC (PF>0.98@115Vac / PF>0.95@230Vac), delivering a full 240W unified output across all four voltages with exceptional 95.5% peak efficiency. At 40mm wide, it packs PFC + 240W into a compact chassis that maximizes panel space while meeting global safety and EMC requirements.
The XDR-240E accepts 85~264Vac universal input (also 120~370Vdc). Available in four output voltages - 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V - it delivers up to 20A at 12V and 5A at 48V, all at a clean 240W unified rating regardless of input voltage. Efficiency ranges from 94% to 95.5% — a massive leap over the 89~91% of non-PFC XDR-E models.
The hold-up time of 20ms at both 115V and 230V is a standout feature — extended hold-up is maintained even at 115Vac where most PFC-free supplies drop to 8~10ms. Overload protection introduces a smart dual-mode: hiccup mode below 30% of rated voltage (safe for short circuits) and constant current limiting above 30% (safe for motor starts and capacitive loads).
The built-in DC OK relay contact (30Vdc/1A), OVC III (IEC/EN 61558), OVC II (IEC/EN/UL 61010 & 62368-1 up to 5,000m), SELV safety classification, and 4KVac I/P-O/P isolation remain standard. Full global certifications include CB, TUV, UL/CUL, CCC, BSMI, EAC, KC, and BIS. Harmonic compliance meets EN61000-3-2 Class A (full compliance without load restrictions, thanks to Active PFC).

Active PFC (Power Factor Correction) improves the power factor to >0.98, meaning the power supply draws current more efficiently from the mains. Benefits include: (1) full EN61000-3-2 harmonic compliance without load restrictions (vs. non-PFC XDR-E models with 80% limits), (2) 20ms hold-up maintained at 115Vac (non-PFC drops to 8ms), (3) lower AC input current (2.6A vs more for non-PFC at same wattage), and (4) reduced stress on upstream circuit breakers and facility wiring.
The XDR-240E represents a major platform upgrade: (1) Active PFC added, (2) 240W unified power vs dual 120~156W rating, (3) 94~95.5% efficiency vs 89~91%, (4) 20ms hold-up at both 115V and 230V vs 16ms/8ms, (5) hiccup-mode OVP vs shutdown OVP, (6) smart dual-mode overload, (7) 40mm width vs 30mm to accommodate PFC components. If you need PFC, higher efficiency, or 240W unified power, the XDR-240E is the clear choice.
At overload (105~130%): if output voltage stays above 30% of rated — the supply uses constant current limiting (safe for motor starts). If voltage drops below 30% — it switches to hiccup mode (safe for dead shorts, minimizes power dissipation). This is smarter than fixed CC or fixed hiccup because it adapts to the fault type automatically.
Yes. This is a direct benefit of the Active PFC stage — the PFC boosts and stabilizes the internal DC bus voltage, allowing the PWM stage to maintain output regulation for a full 20ms during a brownout at 115Vac input. Non-PFC supplies typically drop to 8~10ms at 115V. This is critical for PLC and SCADA systems that cannot tolerate momentary power loss.
Yes. Unlike lower XDR-E models that have harmonic compliance restrictions (e.g., <=80% load for Class A), the XDR-240E's Active PFC ensures full EN61000-3-2 Class A compliance at all load levels from 0-100%. This makes it suitable for EU applications where harmonic current standards are strictly enforced.
All four models feature Active PFC, 240W unified power, 95.5% peak efficiency, DC OK relay, 20ms hold-up, OVC III, IEC61010, SELV, and Class B EMC in a 40mm slim DIN rail package.
